Season’s Greetings from Barbur Law!
As 2023 comes to a close, we are taking a moment to reflect on the many things that happened this year and to share some of our favorite moments with clients and friends we hold dear. First, we want to express our deepest gratitude for being with us on this journey around the sun – from entrusting us with your estate planning needs, to volunteering beside us in the community, to early-morning networking over coffee, we appreciate you!
We kicked off the year with the sweetest little bundle of joy – Sutton – Eric’s healthy baby boy. In a blink, Eric and his wife are already planning Sutton’s first birthday. All the sleepless nights are worth the extra special title “Dad”.
In March, Ashleigh joined the Tillamook office as our receptionist. Ashleigh’s sweet disposition quickly won over our clients. We then welcomed Tiff to our Milwaukie office in May, where she capably adapted to the busy life of our law firm. Both Ashleigh and Tiff have been terrific additions to the firm and have earned promotions to coincide with the end of the year.
Last summer, with our new team assembled, Megan worked to give the firm website a facelift, complete with new headshots. Megan continues to work remotely from Florida and enjoys any opportunity to travel to Oregon and get real face-time with her colleagues.
In September, Amy spearheaded our Milwaukie office expansion. Her amazing efforts (down to recruiting her own family to paint!) truly transformed our space, making it more beautiful for clients and staff to be more productive and to enjoy.
Also in September, our firm grew by 4 furry paws when Laura brought home Lucky, her adorable standard poodle. Lucky frequents the office and is cute as can be.
Scott completed a six-year term on the Board of Directors of the Milwaukie Community Center Foundation this year. True to the holiday spirit, he is ending the year paying-it-forward: “I was happy we had a good enough year to make a donation toward improvements to the Sarah Hite Rose Garden at North Clackamas Park.”
While Vicky is officially retired, she continues to attend networking meetings to benefit the firm.
As a firm, we are celebrating 2023 as a year of tremendous growth and cohesion. Come January 1st, our firm name will officially change from Barbur Law to Barbur Law. We are proud of our accomplishments as a team, and thankful for the many opportunities to give back to our communities in Milwaukie and Tillamook. Wishing you a holiday season filled with joy, and a very healthy 2024!
